This policy explains what Sereneyuto collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have kept it short because the site does not collect much.
What we collect
Email address, if you give it to us. If you sign up for our newsletter or a downloadable guide, we store the address you enter. Signup uses double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and nothing is sent until you click the link in it. Alongside the address we log the date and time of consent and the IP address the request came from, because that record is what proves the consent was real.
Messages you send us. If you email info@sereneyuto.com we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
Standard server logs. Our web server records requests in the ordinary way: IP address, timestamp, the page requested, referrer and browser user agent. These are used for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics, if enabled. Where site analytics are in use, they are configured to report aggregate traffic patterns rather than to identify individuals. Any analytics provider currently in use is named in the cookie section below.
We do not ask for your name, address, date of birth or payment details, and we have no way to take a payment on this site.
Cookies
The site itself sets only the cookies WordPress needs to function. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
Affiliate links are the exception worth knowing about: when you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer may set its own cookie to attribute the visit. That cookie belongs to them and is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Amazon’s practices are described in Amazon’s own privacy notice. See how we make money for the way those links work.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Newsletter emails are held on the basis of your consent, which you gave at signup and can withdraw at any time. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site up and secure. Correspondence is kept so we can answer you.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, and the record of your consent is kept for as long as the subscription lasts. Unconfirmed signups are discarded rather than emailed. Server logs rotate on a short cycle. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful and deleted when it is not.
Who else sees it
Nobody buys this data from us, because we do not sell it. It is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site — our hosting provider, and the email service that delivers the newsletter — and only to the extent they need it to do that job. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Your choices
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. Beyond that, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a portable form. Email info@sereneyuto.com and we will act on it. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The site is written for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email us and we will remove them.
International visitors
The site is operated for a United States audience and our servers are in the United States. Visiting from elsewhere means the information described above is handled in the US.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the revised version appears here with a new review date at the top of the page.
