Sereneyuto earns money through affiliate programs. This page explains exactly how that works, so you can weigh what you read here accordingly.
What an affiliate link is
Some of the links on this site point to products on retail sites. If you follow one of those links and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way — the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket.
Amazon Associates
Sereneyuto participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon links on this site are always full, unshortened URLs that go straight to the product page. We do not route them through redirects or link shorteners, and we do not display Amazon prices, because prices change constantly and a stale number is worse than none. Where a price matters, the link says “Check current price” and sends you to the retailer to see it.
Other programs
Beyond Amazon, we may join affiliate programs run by individual brands or by networks such as ShareASale, Impact and Awin. The same rules apply to all of them.
What the commission does not do
A commission does not buy a recommendation, a ranking position or a kind word. Concretely:
- We choose which products to write about before any affiliate relationship is considered.
- A higher commission rate never moves a product up a list.
- Every shortlist has to include at least one recurring complaint per product, taken from public reviews.
- Brands do not see, review or approve content before it is published.
- We do not accept payment for a positive review, and we do not publish sponsored posts dressed up as editorial.
If a brand asked us to soften something in exchange for a better rate, the answer would be no, and the request would not change what was already written.
Where you will see this disclosed
Every article that contains an affiliate link carries a disclosure above the first such link, before you have a chance to click it. That inline notice is the one that matters legally and practically; this page is background, not a substitute for it.
One thing worth repeating
We do not personally test or review every product featured on this website. Our recommendations come from researching product specifications, ratings and publicly available customer feedback. How that research works is written up in what gets a product onto a shortlist, and the wider standards we hold ourselves to are in the standards we publish under.
